Took an IR image of my geothermal heat exchanger. You can see cold water (blue/black) enter from the bottom and then come out much warmer (violet). Can't see any difference in tank water but it is there. Works very well.

So your using geothermal power to hear the aquarium? I've been looking at using coiled titanium tube plumbed to a pump at my water heater controlled by the Apex to circulate and return water to the heater. Geothermal sounds interesting but I've heard it requires a lot of investment and time to see returns.

Its a titanium heat exchanger. I only use it for cooling but could easily be designed for heating.
