I picked up a bonded pair of extreme Picasso clowns the previous owner had for about 3 years. One looks just perfect; the other a little haggard. Dorsal and fins under belly are non existent. Color looks a little faded but that's been that way since I got them. Even the body looks like it's got various skin tags etc.

They've been in observation for three weeks, they eat well, and no new bumps or ich looking spots on either fish. I'm getting ready to add them to my tank in a week. I've included a few photos as best I can take with my phone so you can see this little mutant. Am I dealing with a new disease or does this fish just have scars for life. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160430/7d9e766a9fe92ac4a666a32b00a4840a.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160430/28765e561b31bace09161c0a93292c3b.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160430/0791689d2556eadfb42a58021e889e55.jpg

That definitely does not look like ich. Maybe a bacterial infection of some sort. I would remove from the DT and place in QT. If possible get it to someone that can do a scraping and tell you what it is. Otherwise, try an anti-bacterial med like Kanamyacin or Furan-2. You can also try Prazi, but it is really meant for parasites like flukes.

Thanks. These were originally from Sea and Reef almost 4 years and the one in question is certainly a little more mutant than the other. I don't want to split them up as they are a bonded pair and are the happiest together.
