That's the first 2-part product I've ever seen that claims to contain Uranium. For whatever that's worth.

I think most of us with a chemistry background would suggest that you avoid using it. There's several reasons - David's mentioned one, which is an absurd list of "trace elements", some of which are present in seawater in infinitesimal quantities have no known biological function.

The second is vague, unsubstantiated marketing claims - "simplifying reef keeping for all hobbyists" is a red-flag, since all tanks are different, and adding materials to one tank may help it, while adding the same thing to a different one may harm it.

Finally, you may have noticed the striking packaging and graphics layout similarities to the Red Sea Reef Foundation products. That's likely not accidental, and is shady.

So no, I certainly wouldn't purchase it nor add it to my tanks if it was given to me.

It's probably okay, but I very much doubt it's any better than any other 2-part, so I would choose based on cost. The advertising is a bit much to read, as well. We could talk a long time about the need (if any) for trace elements in a 2-part.

If you're willing to do a little kitchen mixing, making your own calcium and alkalinity supplement is extraordinarily easy and a whole lot less expensive. You can get the chemicals from a lot of outlets, but Bulk Reef Supply sells convenient "kits" of calcium chloride, sodium carbonate and magnesium chloride/sulfate complete with a couple of mixing jugs and graduated measuring cups here (http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-2-part-calcium-alkalinity-starter-package-pre-portioned.html).

If you decide you want to add trace elements to your tank, it would be best to purchase a separate trace element supplement like Two Little Fishies Sea Elements (http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/two-little-fishies-seaelements-250-ml.html#tab-full-details).

Hah! I guess that's worth 92. Who else would notice?

Thanks.
