Will .40 cupramine be enough to kill ich?
I have had them in qt 7 weeks now, in .45 cupramine.
Should the ich be eliminated?
No sand or rock in tank, so fear of copper absorption should not be of concern.

Lol how many threads do you have going on and it seems like you're doing all methods?!
You need a final concentration of 0.50

You forget the calcium in the water! You will always have copper fallout in saltwater. That's why testing copper levels twice daily is mandatory.

Also at .45ppm, the Copper is not effective, so there is a strong possibility that the ich is still there. I don't quote me on this, but I believe it's not good to keep fish in Cooper more than 30-45 days.

That's unreal.
There are countless posts about cupramine dosing instructions being too harsh and aggressive, and people recommend and strive for lower, I've read as low as .35 my mrtuskfish.
A lot of misinformation, makes it confusing for some to put together any type of strategy

That's not unreal, perhaps that's what Seachem found to be the most effective concentration to kill the parasite. Sort of like one cyst took 72 or 76 days to hatch. It's possible, and the average was like 2-3 weeks (or whatever) to hatch, but are you willing to risk lessening your fallow period?
Also, your intended strategy is wrong two fold: slightly under target concentration and in duration. You want 10 days, the dosing calls specifically for 14 days and 0.50 final ppm. Why even argue that either is ok?

Incorrect. Effective range of Cupramine is 0.35-0.5 mg/L. 0.45 is just fine, assuming you maintain the levels and check 1-2 times a day.

I have had them in this concentration for at least 6 weeks now, where did the 10 days come from? I started a post, and started by saying I am not using this idea, but why wouldn't it work...Again not doing that.
It wasn't seachem who stated or wrote the .35, its countless posts by the likes of humblefish, mr tuskfish, chris d (cant spell his last name). I was just looking to reverify, since information and ideology changes quickly.
I realize you are trying to help, but there is in fact much misinformation on here. Trying to sort thru what works
My fallow period will be 8 weeks. That's my comfort level in regards to risk tolerance. Not that I am impatient, but running more than one tank is against the agreement I made with my fiancé. Prolonging is just causing me headache, much bigger headache then the fish tank.

Its at least that. When I first started, I added the appropriate mls to get to .5. 75 gallon tank, no rock displacement, and 15 gallons in the sump. I added some extra by a few mls, so if anything it was .55 or higher. Two weeks ago, I did a 10 gallon water change to clear out some organics, so my level decreased by 10 percent or so.
Thanks for the verification, not faulting others for helping, but I knew I read once upon a time .35 for wrasses and such

Yeah you suggested a 10 day Tx time in another thread. But anyway, maybe that's why I've never been that successful with it. Good to know NOW that 0.35 seems to work.
How come you just don't do a few batches of fish at a time with TTM?

I suggested it as an idea, hypothetically speaking, not in the act of doing so currently. A what if type of thing.
I have ttm going now, but I have a Moorish idol awaiting it along with Achilles. Not sure how there going to do in small tank minimum flow

Should be ok, buddy of mine got two Achilles done at the same time in a small tank. Have you had them long?
