Hello,

I just picked up a large colony from a neighbor that had to break down his tank. I plan on chopping the entire thing and was wondering when is the best time to do that? He has metal halides and I have LED. Should I chop immediately or wait for the colony to acclimate?

Thank you!

I would wait I'll it acclimates so it is in the best health possible when you cut it

I agree with junior. What are you chopping up?

A red planet. I already have one that's 18" across. The new one is about a foot and certainly don't need 2

Wait for it to acclimate, safe bet is to wait til you see new growth.

Wait and see how it does under the leds first
