Hi all,
I'm almost ready to start my new tank, I'm thinking about using mostly caribsea life rock mainly so I can play around with my Aquascape outside the tank. Then maybe add about 15kg of live rock.
Is the caribsea life rock porous?

Yes, it is quite porous. I used some of it to mix in with some existing real reef on my new tank.
I have a mix of Carib sea and tbs. the carb sea stuff is nice, a little "cubish" and blocky for my taste, but a hammer and chisel can take care of that.

Turn back time I'd go with Pukani

I've found a supplier in the uk of pukani rocks and I do prefer the aqua scaling potential with the pukani as they seem to fit together more natural looking. Where as the caribsea rocks look a bit blockier like bentreef says.
Cafereefs looks great though and quite natural, my only concern with pukani is leaching phosphates, but if I acid dip them and let them soak for 24hours in water they should be fine and I can use some phosgaurd during the cycle to remove any thing that leaches during the cycle??
