Sure why not this sounds like fun...

We are/were a military family, and have spent way to many years moving every few years...and I've kept a lot of tanks but get to sell them off and or tear them down(not fun) Getting them perfect and time to go!
We bought our first home....literally first thing I do is set up a tank(ok yes I moved our boxes and furniture in but was still sleepin in the dinning room waiting on new carpet in master) lol

Started 4/15/2016 Nothing but black diamond dust(Im pretty sure the green color is pine pollen bad timing for cleaning soaking the sand...it's gone now) and a ....way way under what was needed canister filter and a frozen shrimp.(it was what I had...wanted to get this cycling started!)

Ok so at this point three weeks later..... we got 40 pounds of base rock(which do over wouldnt have purchased its ok but to dense, dry fine but not base), 30 pounds of live from FL, the 50 pounds of dry sand 10 pounds of live and (which has way more white in it then I was wanting...do over likely skip this)

Upgraded the filtration, canister yes but that thing is made for a 150 tank! moved all the stuff in the smaller one into it to not interrupt cycle. still working on plans for refugium. Skimmer, heater, wavemaker pumps added.
Plastic cheap Chinese stuffs too...they will likely go what can i say impulse online shopper and they were cheap. Added a very very small cleaning crew, to keep an algae bloom in check.

Ammonia spiked out on 4/23, 0 on 5/5...cycles not over still high on the no2/no3.

Goals....

Got hitchhikers to keep alive.

But the challenge is a red(maybe tree) sponge alive and this tube coral.
