Got this fish a 5 days ago and now it is showing signs of disease. Fish is in QT. What is this and how to treat?
Fish is hiding and clamped fins but still eats. When I first got fish it would be out swimming.

When did the white stuff appear? To me it looks like descriptions of Velvet.

Any chance you could get some pictures from the side? Also, is there any heavy/fast breathing going on?

I have a video that shows it really well, but don't know how to post it.
hides and lays on it's side, not breathing heavy, but still eats. If I come up to the tank he swims up to me. The pictures don't show it very well.

Reclusive behavior is most often velvet.

Thanks for the replies. I did a formalin dip for 55 min. Then in different clean 10 gal qt tank with NLS Ick shield which I believe is cp. Wow, what a difference in just 24 hours. All spots are gone and fish is acting normal again. Want to get fish back in 20 gal long qt (cleaned and sterilized)again today. Too big of fish for long term in 10 gal tank. Should I do another formalin dip before transferring back to 20 gal?I plan on using cp for a month.

Was the royal gramma not affected at all?
Glad your fish is doing better!

Royal gramma did not show any signs of anything, but it is small so kinda hard to see. Got them both at same time and at same place. And I know their tanks where all connected together so I put them in qt together. I usually do only one fish per tank.
