Alright I've made some major upgrades to my tank. I got the Apex Lab edition and a Rapid LED solderless kit. I am not good at writing the code for the Apex System. I've got all my wiring hooked up per directions. I cut the lights on and nothing happens but when I cut them off it looks as though the LED's "fire" and then right back off. I have the Neptune 2 channel Apex to light dimming cable hooked up. Any thought's on what this could be? Also, could someone send me some code like having the lights turned on and off. I know some people have their stuff coming on at different times and I would just like a starting point I guess. Is there a certain plug-in the LED's are suppose to be in? How do you set the LED's to a certain power, like the whites to 1000 ma and blues to 700ma?

Use the light wizard to program your LEDs via the dimming ports or channels.

Also make sure all your cables are plugged on securely in all your lights.

This is what the wizard looks like. It makes programming them a snap.

Do you need a VDM to control the lights? I was told that if you have the Apex Lab grade system you would not need a VDM. I'm not so sure that is true.

The Apex Standard, LAB and Gold packages all have the same Apex base unit that has on the right hand side of the controller V1/V2 and V3/V4. These are the variable speed ports used for 0-10V control.

To answer your question NO you do not need to buy a VDM module.

Any idea where I can find the wizard? The quick start guide says that it will "automatically" pop up but I have messed with this for 2 hours and I haven't seen anything.

Without knowing all the details lets assume you have the lights plugged in to V1/V2.

In Fusion click on the gear icon on outlet VARSPD1_1

Once in the Output Configuration (programming) screen you should see a icon on the left hand top that looks like a magic wand. this will bring up the wizard.
