Hi all

So I have 5 in my nano and they have spawned at least once (I saw it about 10 days ago and the male collected eggs in mouth). Do I have any chance of these hatching? To be honest after researching before purchase I'm pleased I've managed to keep all 5 alive for 12+ weeks and surprised to see spawn.

If it's not a complete waste of time considering it, what can I do to improve chances?

Cheers

I love Apogon parvulus, if only they weren't 10 times as much as neons, I'd get a whole school of them.

^This thread has a few documented cases of eggs hatching, but no post-larval care from the aquarist. Also, look into other Apogon mouth brooding species for larval care.

You definitely have a chance at them hatching! Taking care of them on the other hand, that's the hard part. To increase chances, look all over the internet. I'm not sure that there's been any documented cases of Apogon parvulus being raised to adulthood...Good Luck!
