I am hoping he is just hanging out in the rocks for a few days. I haven't seen it for about 3 days.

I actually think that the Whip Fin may have done him in or I have an unknown predator in there somewhere.

These guys are definitely a little on the shy side. He could easily be hiding. I had one in my old tank and after I put him in after QT, he hid for about a week, never saw him. Then all of a sudden he was out and about with everyone else like he'd been there the whole time.

I understand about the initial shy period when first introduced, but this guy has been in the tan for about a year.

I had one also randomly at times go into hiding for a few days up to a week. Then one day I look and it's just back doing normal stuff. I'd say wait a full week before you consider it really MIA.
