Do I need a ReefLink?

Hey guys and gals! Just curious, do you need a ReefLink box to use EcoSmart to control a pair of Vortechs or can you simply do it with a Smartphone connected via the app?

If you want to use your smartphone to control your devices a reeflink is required. You can also control your Ecotech products via PC without a reeflink. The reeflink simply makes it easier

A ReefLink is required to control any wireless VorTech or Vectra pumps through ESL. Without a ReefLink you're limited to their built in controller's functionality.
