I understand the concept and reason for dosing with vinegar but how do I do it? I found a chart but what is the reason to up the dose every few days? Is it safe? What's the best way to introduce vinegar into the tank? Mostly what im asking is directions to dose vinegar. I have looked at a few articles but they talk more on why and not how.

I dose carbon ( vodka) with a dosing pump...easier than hand dosing manually each day

We dose vinegar with a dosing pump as well...would not be able to maintain a consistent schedule otherwise.

I dose vodka manually, before and after work.

According to this I need to add 1.2 ml of vinegar to start with,

I don't have a dosing pump so I would do it manually.

So ill spread the dose out over the day instead. Also should I dose in the main tank or sump?

And finally this may be a dumb question but do I dose the 1.2 ml per day or once a week?

Just follow directions and ensure you are testing. I personally am about to switch to the diy nopox soon.

Had good results with vodka alone, but want to try the diy nopox.

Go slow and watch your corals. Good luck
