Anyone know what this white branchy stuff growing on my lil coral is and how to get rid of it?

I had something like that before.. When it grew larger it looked more like a sponge, wasn't really sure though. I also didn't know how to get rid of it either

good point, looking at the picture again, I didnt see the back section, it does look more like a sponge.

sponges die when exposed to air. zoa's/palys can handle a good amount air exposure actually. maybe pull it out of the water for a few minutes or so and see if the air exposure can kill it off.

Some type of calcareous sponge would be my guess.

I had that on one of my paly colonies. Mine was definitely a sponge and I just picked it out with my fingers
