I purchased a Coral Beauty Angelfish two weeks ago from my LFS. He is the only fish in my QT. I don't medicate unless necessary but I have added Seachem's Stress Guard weekly with water changes.
After a few days I noticed some white (2-3mm) along his dorsal fin and a white dot near one of his eyes. After a week the white dot by his eye has disappeared but the white streak along the dorsal fin appears to be getting longer (6-7mm). There also appears to be a faint white streak (2-3mm) along the fins at the front of his body on his belly. No other white dots or bumps on his body. He is eating well and seems active.
Is this a sign of disease or could it be an injury? I have some broken up bio-media blocks in my QT so he could have scraped his dorsal fin and belly on them going in and out of the cave I created with them.
Here's a short video I shot of him this morning.
