My tank parameters are zero phosphates and about 15-20 nitrates. This algae started a few days ago and never had it. I have to stir the sand 2-3 times a day and it comes right back. Also started growing on the rocks and some a corals that I have to blow it away with a turkey baster.
My tank is 5 months old. I'm running GFO and chaeto arid reactor.
Any advise on what it is and how to get rid of it?
Thanks guys

Not algae it's Cyanobacteria.

...well let the debate begin! To me it looks exactly like Cyanobacteria.

And why is it forming and how to get rid of it?
Will it harm the corals?

Check your nitrates and phosphates. Make sure you are getting enough flow in your tank and there are no dead spots.

Cyano.
Try to manually remove what you can and adjust your flow for dead spots.

I increased the power heads flow and that seemed to help a bit. Phosphates are zero and nitrates are 15
