So I have this algae/bacteria thats been a giant pain for over a month in one of my systems. Tangs completely ignore it, hermits don't care about, Emeralds rip it up and chew on it then kind of spit it out and move on, and possibly Turbos eat some of it.

It comes off rather easily, loves to randomly break off and wrap around my acros which leads to RTN on the spot the algae touches.

At first glance it looks like hair algae but all the above seems to point to something else, and the closest I can find is Lyngbya.

Nutrients are low, refugium is big in this system, GFO always running. What else should I do? I feel like if the solution is "pull and scrub" i'll be doing that for the rest of my life. I did a 4 day lights out about a week ago and it seemed to help some, but it has since come back in force.

I'm not good at identifying algae or similar organisms. You might have Lyngba in the system. Have you check the phosphate level? How much GFO is in the system, and how often is it changed?

I have had this before and I didn't get a definate ID. CALOTHRIX or LYNGBYA was my guess. Was not impact by something like slime remover. Some did look fern like. I broke that tank down and built a 93 cube.
Gfo nor Phosguard had an impact on it though. Nor did a blackout period. But did grow well under red light so my next course of action was an algae scrubber with full red lights.
