For $24 shipped, seems like a steal! I just got it. It came perfectly calibrated and looks and feels like a quality instrument.

I use the same one, only complaint I have about it is the hinge pin that is between the refraction plate (the cover that goes over the glass) and the body has rusted on mine, doesn't affect it's usability, just looks bad and makes for a rough hinge.

Well, I'm glad it's a decent meter.
You guys use the silly pipette? Can I just use my finger and dab some water on the glass?

Same one here. Pretty sure it's the same as the BRS branded one.

I have the same one as well. I check calibration on it a couple times a year and it's always dead-on.

Sure - use your finger - as long as there is no salt/chemical/lotion/dirt/whatever on it that could affect the reading. Or just use the "silly" pipette like most of us do.

If you have amazon prime, you can have it shipped to your door for $18.75.

I"m on my second one, I dropped the first one in a bucket of salt water. It read 100% salinity all the time after that.

I'm sorry to hear that but at the same time there is something funny or ironic about that.
