Last Thursday I added a pair of wrasses to a 20 gallon QT tank. The tank has been cycled for quiet a while but has had nothing in is except some snails and a piece of chaeto. Both wrasse arrived in nice condition.I floated their bags for 20 minutes and released them into the QT tank. They were both eating that evening and have eaten well multiple times a day.
Yesterday afternoon I preformed a 5 gallon water change as standard routine maintenance. This morning, the smaller of the two wrasses is spending time gliding along the water surface, occasionally sticking his head above the water. It does not do this all of the time and otherwise seems fine. I have not yet begun Prazi treatment (or anything else). I'm just feeling a little concerned and wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Thanks!

I had an Exquisite wrasse that did that from time to time in QT. Once he moved to the DT, the behavior diminished and eventually ceased. My conclusion is that it is a stress-related behavior.
