Hi Is it possible to run a zeo system on a tank that's already been cycled and running for several months now? I seem to be having a nitrate issue and want to try the zeo products to try and turn that around.

I switched my 60G to Zeo after 2 years. just go slow, it takes a little while longer. when I switched I was running GFO and a fuge and at the start I left the GFO running until the normal change date then took it offline. When I took the GFO offline my phosphates when up for a little while until the zeo took over and then it started going down. what size tank?

Also note that you have to maintain alk at "natural" levels (around 8DKH) or SPS will RTN or STN

The key when adding to an existing system is to be SLOW about it. Same with GFO or anything

Check out the zeovit forum. Ask the question in there and you will get the info you need
