Hi folks. New here. Been in this hobby for 30 years though.
I have an aqueon 210 with dual overflows. I built my sump from a 40 breeder. The tank is freshwater which houses african cichlids.
Currently I have a sicce syncra 5.0 as my return pump, but I'm growing annoyed by the AC 60hz drone echoing through my fish room. Thinking of upgrading my return pump to either a vectra M1 or L1, or possibly an RD3 80w if recommended.
In regards to the vectras, which pump makes sense? I'm looking for as close to silent as possible, and efficient. I'd also like the pump to have significant reserve power that's only needed come cleaning time. So my fluid dynamics question is, would the L1 running at 60w generate roughly the same pressure and flow as the M1 running at 60w?
