Hey all,
I am running a mh/t5 combo with a Phoenix 250 14k and two Tru actinic. I would like to get it a little whiter, and am considering replacing one actinic with an ATI coral plus. I might even just try a ge 6500k.

Any help with the choices? Anyone have pictures of a mh/t5 combo?

I was in the same boat. When I added a coral plus bulb, my hair algae exploded. It has small amount of red algae loves. Just my experience and probably exception to the rule.

I run the same combo, and have the same desire for a little more of a white look. Following along to see what you decide on and the results.

I believe coral+ is the whitest bulb ati makes, look for a bulb in 10,000k range. Or you could change your mh to a whiter bulb, the phoenix 14k is quite blue.

Aqua blue special from ATI is whiter than coral plus.

Actually the GE6500 isn't as yellow as you may think.

Here it is in my ATI fixture.

The ones in the center are the ge6500?, wow you are right that doesn't look that yellow, at least in the picture next to the blues. Most 8000k are even too yellow for me.

I think I will try the ge, and if I don't like it I'll try the abs

Yes it's the white looking bulb in the center. Honestly I'd say it's a 8k looking bulb. Very bright and very high par. Also 20% cheaper.
