i have a 55 gallon tank and am wondering if the tunze nano would work on my tank. it says approx 50 gallon in the product description but if i could get away with using the nano it would save some money. thanks in advance.

Honestly it is very heavily dependent on your evaporation rate. The nano has a fail safe feature where it shuts off after X amount of minutes of continuous pumping. So on tanks above 50 gallons, it can reach that mark and trigger the alarm/shut off the ATO. Personally if it were my tank I would go with the 3155 to play it safe, but like Turbosreef mentioned it *may* be ok depending on what your individual evaporation rate looks like.

You can always adjust for how long it flows in order to increase the time you are pumping water.

There is one level of adjustment on the 3152, that can change the maximum pump on time from 1.5 minutes to 3 minutes. The recommend the 1.5 minute setting for tanks under 26 gallons, and the 3 minute setting for tanks up to 50 gallons.

thanks for the reply. currently im adding 1 gallon of rodi every 2-3days. if the 3152 cant handle that then im gonna have to wait a while and save for the 3155. as always BRS has been good to me and ive been happy with every purchase ive made. thanks again for the input.

Or you could spend the extra now, and buy the 3155. Then when you upgrade to a bigger tank your all set :)

That's what I was thinking from the start but I'm trying to keep cost down where I can.
