I am building a look down tank for my new derasa and was thinking of going LED. I have never used LED and right now he is doing fine under 7 6 foot Vho in a 125G tank. The new tank is only 12" deep.
I though maybe a Kesson would work well. Here is a link to my clam tank build thread.

How many people use LED for clams?
Thanks

I would like to own a clam only tank someday. Answers in this thread would be interesting. Although there might be threads already

I have a Squamosa under a Radion XR15 pro, the tank is a Nanno with about 15 inches of water so it's about what your looking at. I run it at 50 percent and it seems to love it. I like them because you can change the spectrum to what you need, but this is true for many high end LEDs.

my T. derasa and T. crocea have been under LEDs for their entire stay with me (almost 3 years, and just over two years respectively) and they've done very well.

lights are AI Vega Colors.

I have a T. maxima in my display under Hydra 52's about 20 inches below the surface and a T. derasa in my frag tank under a hydra 26 about 10 inches below the surface. Both grow like crazy.
