i found this critter along the coast looking for hermit crabs

They go by several different names, either a Ghost Shrimp or Shrimp Lobster. Looks like an Axiopsis sp. though. Neat find.

Common saltwater Yabby we pump them up at mudflats with "Yabby Pumps" and use them for Live bait when fishing, great bait if you can get them to stay on the hook because they're soft/delicate.

Nihonotrypea japonica is the Latin name for that calianassid shrimp, it's a decapod and many people call them mud lobsters or mud shrimp
