Just wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to buy led chips for reef lighting. I know ebay and other places like that but most of the sellers are from China on there with the chips. I was hoping I could find a few alternate sources that are affordable. Thanks

What specifically are you looking for?
Color ? brand? mounted to star PCB? solderless? bare chip ready to reflow?

Really just price differences from different sources. Seeing if maybe there was a better place to order from than what I have been using in the past. Oreo hit it on the head for what I was looking for.

for whites and blue there are some , apparently, real Luxeon 3w Rebels on e-bay that are at about $1 each.. Cheaper than most retail sources..

if going for a puck style, i would personally go with LUMIA 5.2 as they are solderless and twice as many LEDs for about $100 each....

Thanks everyone for the input...Horace I have used the lumia 5.2 for a grow light. Excellent led and puts out a lot of light. Thanks cafe reef I'll have to check that site out. Mcgyvr let me know if you come across any I'm always trying to find the best deal I can without having to go to China or those Alibaba type of sites. Thanks again
