Hi I hope someone can perhaps help me. Has anyone ever had problems with hydroids, but not the jellyfish kind, the kind that looks like pink fuzzy balls that looks like cobwebs (hope this makes sense). If so, how do I get rid of them? And are they very harmful in comparison to the jellyfish kind that sting? Has anyone had the same experience perhaps or know more about these kind of hydroids?

I think you may be referring to Ectopleura marina. I believe all hydroids are considered harmful in seahorse tanks because they sting. I was battling digitate hydroids that were taking over my monti caps and read up about treating them. There's a lot of resources on dosing anthelmintics, but these can be fatal to some invertebrates so you definitely want to do some research and use caution. Here's a good starting point:
