How old / what size was your Naso when it started to grow streamers?
It is becoming clear over time that my Naso - 'Mr. T' - is more than likely 'Misty'.
I would think streamers would have started to grow after 18 months.
The fish is as about 6" inches long and resides in a 10' tank.

I see them listed on DD as "males" close to 4-5" typically so right around that size is when the streamers should start to grow if it's a male. The only disclaimer to that is what they consider streamers and what I consider streamers isn't the same thing

Well there is a definite 'flattening' of the ends of the caudal fin, but certainly nothing that resembles the streamer on a Heniochus or Moorish Idol.
I guess I gotta keep watching.

My naso "orange bottom" - my 3 yr old named it lol - has just begun to get them. He's been with me for a year, and is just maybe 5 inches. They are barely started.

My blonde naso is between 6" to 7" and streamers are 3/4" in length. Bought it around 5" four months ago and it was already obvious that streamers are about to grow out. Some wholesalers would actually separate them and charge a higher price. It leaves out the guessing game.

Thanks. I check back in December.
