I have had this setosa for two months with no problem. Yesterday I used my pipette to blast some detritus off of it and now today its all white?? Anyone know what is going on?

Do you keep a close eye on your alk levels? A sudden alk swing can cause SPS to RTN, and sometimes it can take a week or so for you to start seeing die off.

I would test your parameters and do some water changes over the next few days, hopefully it's just your setosa that's affected by whatever killed it.

Doesn't look dead to me. Was the detritus that you blew off primarily in the areas that are going white? Could be light shock due to those areas previously being shaded by acummulated detritus.

Look at the amount of slime...it's ****ed about something, and blowing a lil detritus off it will not cause that.

Here it is today. The orange tissue is just floating off of it. I haven't touched the tank or done anything strange for weeks. Just a few days ago it was healthy and orange, completely normal. I did see some white at the base but didn't think it was going to spread within 24 hours! SO strange

That reddish looking area looks like cyano. It looks like the entire coral is bleached. Are you sure it had polyps and color and it wasn't just the cyano?

Brown jelly disease. No doubt about it. My giant birdsnest was beautiful for 2 years and nearly overnight was a pile of white sticks. Don't really know why it all is a sudden appears. Sorry to see that happen to you
