Im adding a gyre to my nps/softie tank to alternate currents with my mp40. Im hoping i can get away with a 130 but based on stats its a tough call. I ramp my mp40 up to 100% thrn back down and id like the gyre to match the mp40s power. Dimensions are 46L 20w 25h and ill be using the gyrr vertically to create horizontal gyre

You could do either one, but you don't really need the 150. I've owned both on different tanks and went with the 150 when I recently switched over to a 110 mainly because of the height (30" tall.) Even then, I only run it at about 30% and it's more than adequate. You'd probably end up running the 130 around 70% give or take.

I have a similarly sized tank and find the 130 works fine for me. At times I'm not even running at 100%. I will also say the smaller size and quieter noise factor are pluses.

I have the 130, and it works great. Remember however that the 150 has wider flow.
Either way i believe you would be fine.

Oh well i guess i have about 23 inches between the surface and sandbed which i do like to get agitated a bit in peak currents. Would hate to have to rry and return it but its definately worth a shot
