Ok my diatom bloom has come and gone now i'm starting to get this in mostly the higher flow areas. Can you ID it and tell me the best course of action to remove. It isn't much. All i have in the tank right now is a small emerald crab. Tank is 2 months old.

What CUC best removes this as well?

Hair algae. Mexican Turbo snails will mow it down. You can also run some GFO.

+100 to Mexican Turbos..
And urchins if you want that.. but I would hold off on those until a more "mature" tank to avoid starvation,etc...

Turbos are the way to go. I've seen people say 1-2 per gallon but idk if I'd go that high. Remember, after the algae is gone, they'll basically starve to death.

I wish I could keep Turbos alive. I had plenty of algae to sustain two turbos, hair and others, and they would just all of a sudden die within a week or two of getting them.

Turbo snails are definitely a viable option with GHA, but there really is no guaranty they'll solve that problem for you. Start at the source and go from there. (water)
