Ok I'm getting ready to start your system. I am reading that most people start with a 1/2 the recommend dose of a, E, and V. I only have a 25 gallon tank so only about 18 gallons of water . Should i just dose the 1 drop every 4 days instead of every 2 days? Or do i dilute it with ro water and dose it every 2 days?

Thanks

On a 25 gallon tank I would use 1 drop every 3 days of each, they could be staggered or simply use day of the week chart. The key is observance, the products are not harsh and your comfort will come quickly with their use. Also, for probiotic, you could use AF Pro Bio F as and AIO carbon/bacteria dosing method, due to the small size of the tank. I will be running my 16 gallon nuvo this way once I begin stocking it. Cheers!

Perry,
Thanks for the info on the A,E,&V. About the probiotic this is going to sps only tank with no fish. I was thinking reef salt, component 123, A,E,&V, and power food. I know with probiotic it says to have a power skimmer (which really isn't a option on a nano). Do you think i should still run one with no fish.
Thanks for all your help

I like your approach, and think you have a great understanding of your course, that is key here. Are you going to use NP Pro and Pro Bio S, or are you going to use the AIO Pro Bio F? You may decide later to add fish, I feel they do have a role in keeping good nutrients to sps corals, but for now, if that is not your desire, you can still likely yield great results. I am running a Seaside Aquatics Nano skimmer myself, and I am using 1 spoon of AF Pro Bio F every week, when I add more life, this will go to every 3 days. So to answer your question, a nano skimmer should be able to work well in this application. And yes, the skimmer does need to be in play, it is a necessary regardless of fish or no fish in a Probiotic based system. Even though I have no nutrients, no fish, only rock and a few mushrooms and zoas in my 16 AIO, the skimmer set to dry is still pulling gunk out of the system. My nano will have 3 or 4 fish, a shrimp or 2, and other inverts. This tank will be softie and LPS dominated, it will be run by Cindy(GF) as it is really her tank :) The 120 gallon has none, it is 100% sps and 90% Acros, lol... My way of letting her have those flowy corals :)

Yes, your plan sounds very good, I can tell you have read over the user guide. Just go slow, and give the specs of the equipment and live or dead rock, siporax or not, fuge or not, sump or AIO, lighting, etc... Just some more details so I can wrap my mind around the total picture. Thanks,

No, sounds good, you could incorporate some siporax in one of the media chambers if you have room, in a basket, 1liter would be great for additional nutrient control. If you have the space that is :) Sounds like an awesome little setup :) Cheers

will add some siporax to the list.. lol With the bio s do you recommend the one drop a day for 14 days with my size tank.

I think you can do do that, if you see the tank get cloudy, just discontinue for a day or two until the bacteria bloom is skimmed out. You likely won't encounter this issue, but just a fyi if you do. Add the siporax as soon as you can, it will take time to kick in. If you want to go past the 14 days and continue to use the bacteria that would benefit the siporax, as it needs bacteria to work. As long as there is not livestock in the tank, I don't see this causing any harm. Looking forward to seeing the tank come to life, best of luck in the process :)
