Hey all, to anyone who has this filter, how noisy is it? I'm considering setting my tank up in my bedroom and would hate to end up with something I can't sleep with. What do you think??

I have used one before. Very quiet. But it was a mistake to use as configured on a reef tank. Those sponges/filters/ball whatever things just hold onto stuff that you want out of the tank. Not water flowing through it for weeks at a time. A person would have to clean it every 2 days to be useful. My opinion.

Wow thanks for the opinions! I'm happy with the noise answers... As for your opinion on for reef tanks, I appreciate it, but it's just going to be a 30 gallon and I have very good maintenance habits, so I'm hoping it will be fine for it!! I guess we will have to find out! [emoji846]

I have a 206, 306 and an api xp-l canisters. The xp-l is the loudest of the 3 with the fluvals being almost silent if no air is inside them.

The fluvals come with garbage tubing though.

Should I replace the tubing, then? I don't have the tank set up yet but I do thing there is air entering the tubing where the clear air intake tube connects to the tubing with the gray sleeve, it looks like it needs to be glued back together to form a tight connection. Any advice on what type of glue I could use safely?
