Hello,

I've had my LM Blenny for a couple of weeks now and he's been happy, healthy and came from a very trust worthy LFS.

The tank has lots of algae (the green kind) - which is why I got him - to hopefully deal with the algae outbreak - He's done a great job so far but there's still lots to go. I also added in some seaweed just in case.

Today I noticed that he's breathing incredibly heavy.. He still swims around here and there but he will sit still and it sort of looks like hes panting.

My tank has great surface agitation and none of my other fish seem stressed in the slightest. Also there is great circulation.

My measurements are
NO - untraceable
PO - 0.25
Mag - 1195
Calc - 395
KH - 11
PH - 8.0
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0

Does anyone know if this is a normal behavior?

I did adjust my lighting schedule slightly and today it's 5% more intense than yesterday but I don't think that would do it?

Thank you for any tips - maybe hes just having a bad day

Doesn't sound out of the norm to me. I have a starry and a lawnmower and they're both a couple of hilarious posers. They actually do that more than swimming and sometimes look like they are breathing heavy while doing so.
