Controllable powerheads

I would like to increase the water movement in my tank. I was considering adding something like a Tunze 6085. Is there any big advantage in a FOWLR system to having something like a 6155 that comes with a controller?

It's best to try and mimic natural environments. Something controllable would do that better than something that isn't
