I've done a ton of research on AF products and I'm sold! Starting with probiotic reef salt and component 123.
This tank will be SPS Dominant, with some Florida ricordeas, fathead dendros, and nice euphyllias!
Stay tuned for more updates and pics! :)

I use a vectra m1 dialed down on my reefer170 but I also feed a frag tank with it. Its currently setting at about 50% speed. I bought it for its backup battery capability. I've already had power go out and it probably saved my butt. They should give you the back battery adapter with it imo, its an extra 20 bucks.
I was using a spectra over my tank until about two weeks ago. I put a ati hybrid 4 bulb over it and am loving it so far. Only time will tell if it can color up sps like a radium can. One thing I didnt like about the spectra over the tank was how big it looked and the heat. I have a fan blowing across the water and it still heated the tank up 2-3 degrees during the day. The ati hybrid hasn't had any issues with heat. I'll admit I miss the shimmer from the MH. I also felt the t5 bulbs in the spectra to be a bit of a waste since there is only a single reflector for both bulbs on each side. Also there was no active cooling for the bulbs.
Either will be amazing over that tank so when you decide just decide whats most important for you. Where my tank is, in the office, its on the hottest side of the house, that room gets full sun all day. The room will get to 85+ if I dont run the AC. The tank got up to 83 this summer while I was away and House AC was off.
I am still tweaking the 4 bulb ati hybrid and leds to get the color I want and am used to. If I were to get a new hybrid it would be the 8 bulb just for color options. The 8 bulb hybrid extends past the front/back of the tank by 1/2" or so. Not that big of a deal really.

@cpllongjk, thanks for your input! That's why I want the Vectra pump so I can hook up a battery backup! Hopefully, Ecotech releases a smaller pump in the near future.
And I agree regarding the T5s on the Spectra. Actually, if I go that route, I'm gonna remove the T5s and replace them with LEDs. I won't need the T5s with the 250w or 400w metal halide.
Wish ATI Powermodule has a 6-bulb/LED combo. I feel like a 4-bulb fixture isn't sufficient to power an SPS-dominant reef tank.

I finally installed the BM-T11 doser and bought three 1.5L dosing containers! I also bought two caddies to hold Aquaforest products and test kits.
The tank is running but I still haven't installed the return pump because I'm still undecided which one to use. I currently have a sicce 1.5 so I might use that temporarily until Ecotech releases a smaller Vectra pump

I actually haven't done any dosing yet, just water changes. Because the tank is new (2-mo old) and have little coralline algae, the system only consumes about 0.1 dKH alkalinity/week.
Eventually I'm going to dose the following:
AF Pro Bio S
AF NP Pro
AF Amino Mix
AF Build
AF Energy
AF Vitality

If you are not truly ULNS then go ahead and start the pro bio s and np pro. The other stuff could hold off until that point.

Bought a used Vectra M1
I'm curious as to how that works out for you. It's on my equipment list for when I build an SPS reefer 250.

You won't regret the vectra! I recently got mine and it's one cool pump :)

How do you like the Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer? Is it silent? Is it easy to tune in? I got the Simplicity 120 DC but it is not silent. It is the noisiest thing on my reefer 170 so I am thinking of replacing it with BM Curve 5 or Nyos 120. Love my Vectra M1 though.

Tank is looking good. You've got a nice z&p collection going. How far from LRO do you live?

RIP tank :(
Restarting next month and a few things will be changing. I will create a different build thread for the next adventure. Stay tuned!
P.S. Don't worry, all fish and corals are doing very well in a friend's tank :)

Wow! Sorry to hear about the tank!! What happened? So we don't ever do that or any precautions what we may take so it doesn't happen to us!

Actually it's not the fish tank but the heat water tank upstairs that broke! Because we have to replace the ceiling, drywalls, and floors, we had no choice but to tear down the fish tank. Who knows, I might be able to convince my wife to upgrade tank now ;)
