View Full Version : Blasto finally developing new polyps!!

I've had a blasto for about four months and have been hoping for it to grow new heads for ages. After regular target feeding of about half a cube of brine shrimp about once a week over the past two months, I noticed out of nowhere six new polyps appeared around the larger original two! They've been growing over the past two weeks and here they are, visible when feeding. What have other people's experiences been with blastos? Any tips/advice on what I should do now to keep it growing strong?

Thats awesome! Ive had one for about two months now that I was wondering if it was going to start growing. I am going to up my target feedings and see if that helps it move along. Right now I target feed it about twice a week

Cool best of luck with that! Mine took way longer than I thought they would being relatively new to the hobby and I couldn't really find much information about it on the internet so I was beginning to wonder whether or not it would actually happen.

What are you feeding yours?

some times frozen mysis and other times a cocktail of blended shrimp, clam, and oyster. It even eats pellets when they happen to get pushed by the current into its mouth
