Where to buy urchin?

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a Echinometra insularis or Echinometra mathaei?

I found them at my local shop but they are $40 each.... [emoji15]

Agreed. Urchins are hard shippers, even if they survive, they often have many broken spines. I would pay the extra for healthy livestock.

Bought a couple urchins on-line with zero success. They both died overnight. I thought it was something about my tank. I decided to buy local and now have three urchins. I haven't lost a local urchin. I also haven't had luck buying clams on-line (I've lost a couple of small maximas, essentially overnight). For urchins in particular, if you see something local you like, I'd buy local.

You all are right. I never even thought about stress factor and total cost after shipping.

Have to reallocate some funds to the tank fund lol...
