Hi we just were given a snowflake eel maybe 14"...but only tank I can have him in for now (solo) is 10 gal!! Is this ok for a while?

Why not get 1$/gallon from petco and give him a 30 gallon for a while

A 10 gallon tank is way too small for that eel regardless IMO, but I guess it can be done in a pinch. Just make sure to cover the top though. These things are great escape artists.
