Has anyone tried adding multiple pistol shrimp and goby's in 1 system? I'm debating about adding a lot to my 240 gallon.

I got two gobies and a pistol shrimp in a 30g. They each have their own small territory and don't fight. But they will keep the other out of their spots. Your tank is so big, it shouldn't be a problem. Mine dug out tunnels in each of their spots, so I was more concerned about the rock work becoming unstable. I would think that's the biggest concern. Also. I would stick with the smaller pistol shrimp like the candy cane. I had a tiger pistol shrimp before and it dug all over. I found it impossible to keep the rockscape stable and keep the sand from covering everything on the bottom. The candy cane is more attractive and I find it sticks to one spot and doesn't dig as much.

My rockwork is on tubing, so very stable and wouldn't be affected by digging.

Then the only other thing would be if you had corals on the sand, they would get buried, but otherwise you should be ok.

My 93 cube has a trio of Hi Fin Red Banded gobies with a Tiger Pistol, Rainford, Randall, and Twin Spot Gobies.

It's mostly about habitat, being able to claim an area to call home and food source. In a 240 this will not be an issue as long as you don't go crazy and there is a decent amount of rock/sand :)
