Anything I can do to completely get rid of my turbo snails? I tried a few months ago to take them all out because they keep getting in the powerhead and causing it to stop. I removed them all every day and night I saw them (100's) and there's still so many left.
Any fish that's reef safe but only goes after them or something?
Thanks

Does your powerhead not have a guard?
Why do you have so many?
turbos never cause a a problem for me..

Just keep doing what your doing. Eventually you'll put a significant dent in the population and you won't have as many problems with the power heads.

do you really mean turbo snails or the small ceriths?

They might be Collonista snails. These often hitchhike their way into our aquariums and then breed like rabbits if conditions are right.

I have those I think and they do reproduce --see small ones from time to time--but my regal seems to eat most of the eggs and small ones. My only problem with them is they like to climb out of the aquarium sometimes, leaving trails across the tank glass. I find their shells in the oddest places sometimes, like under the TV.
I got them as nerite snails from reefcleaners.org. Can you put a small grid on the powerhead? Maybe screening or something?
