Hello,
I picked up several fish from a LFS and all appeared to be healthy.... I drip acclimated them and put them in my quarantine tank..... I had one clown fish already in the quarantine tank and I added the 5 Green Chromis....
First night all of the fish ate.....
Day two I came home from work and 3 of the fish were dead..... Seemed to have internal bleeding..... And one of the live fish seemed to also have internal bleeding......
Day 3 all 5 Chromis were dead.....
Day 4 the clown I had had for 1.5 months was also dead......
Further evaluation of the clown looked like he had 2 splits down his stomach between his fins that look like paper cuts with red blood in the cuts........ And he also looked like he had internal bleeding......
Any idea what illness may have caused this???? I did not have any luck reading the forums to identify it myself......
What would you recommend to do to the quarantine tank to rid it of the sickness......
The quarantine tank is 40G Breeder with 30 gallon sump that I use for coral...... However, I do not have any coral in the tank currently..... So I do not want to take the entire tank down....... Could I do 30% water changes.....???.....Multiple times???...... Is there a medicine that you would recommend adding????..... Keep fish out of the tank for several months???....
Thanks...
Brian
And to top it off my Betta died in my betta tank..... I have had a good week....:sad2:
