So I have a 180 gallon fish tank, all SPS around 50 frags all around 1-2 inches and multi branched.

I have 1 yellow tang, blue powder tang, purple tang, blue eye kole tang, 2 anthias, 1 blue chromi, 2 clownfish, green wrasse and a purple firefish.

I am wondering how much I should feed to these guys. My phosphates and nitrates have always tested 0 for the past 2 months. During the week sometimes I do not have a chance to feed them till 8pm which then there is only 2 hours left of light in the tank and I only feed them usually 1 frozen cube.

I think I am going to up this to try to feed them 2-3 frozen cubes a day or even maybe 3-4 frozen cubes. I am just wondering how you guys know how often to feed them. I do not want an auto feeder because I couldn't get them to eat pellets or flakes. The frozen cubes I feed are Mysis and brine shrimp. I also try to feed them at least a 4x4 nori strip once a day and sometimes twice a day.

Just wondering how much you guys feed your fish and should I feed them 2 cubes at once or feed one cube, wait till they eat it and then feed the other? I feel like that would be the best way to do it. They could probably eat one cube in around 30-60 seconds. I would also say it only takes that long because I leave my pumps on so the food is going everywhere and they have to chase it. They will eat out of my hand if I keep the cube between two of my fingers, they'll come up and eat out of it.

I have a kole, powder blue, and foxface and they go nuts for Formula Two flakes. I feed flakes once a day and a .75" x .75" chunk of Rods food at night.

If you were to increase the amount of cubes you feed I'd do two for a month and keep checking your parameters. If they are okay then go up to three cubes.

is there only one size in that or what size do you get?

Also depends on how much nutrient export you have. If you have a lot of fish and feed a lot but can't export nutrients, you'll get algae problems.

Like everything else in the hobby, it's never a single correct answer. Every tank is different.

I would also increase the feeding slowly and monitor your parameters, also watch for any algae staring to grow.

This is what I feed. (http://www.petsolutions.com/C/Herbivore-Fish-Diets/I/Formula-Two-Flake-Food.aspx?CAWELAID=520009670000363459&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=10556825293&CATCI=pla-63692779213&catargetid=520009670000047034&cadevice=c&gclid=CjwKEAjw3Nq9BRCw8OD6s4eI5HASJABsfCIa9Ji4Yf73JI7GOicRLU0H1L7qgzoIN35xOdUoPa9C5xoCce3w_wcB) Even my wrasses and cardinals go nuts for it.

My fish won't touch nori though. I have tried for months. Just today I got the Innovative Marine AUQA Gadget and put it in my tank. So far they are still ignoring the nori.

Go figure. My tangs and rabbitfish go nuts for nori. But I have a can of Formula 2 somewhere around here, which I stopped feeding when I started with the nori. I'll mix it into the rotation. Thanks for the tip.

It took a couple of days but all my algae eaters finally eat nori. I just wish the AUQA gadget was black.
