Does anyone use this for a routine maintenance? I do get an occasional cyano patch but usually just siphon it out with a water change. I wasn't sure if this would benefit in any way or would it just bother to the corals and inverts?

Think of it as chemotherapy. I would only do it if the problem gets very serious.

It's not serious at all... Just a small spot behind a rock that comes once in a while and comes right off. My tank is in the wall so I have total access to the back.

Thats a pretty great analogy for chemi clean, many have good luck with it, but I have heard my fair share of disasters with it too.

Chemi-Clean can help, at least temporarily, but the toxins released by dying cyanobacteria can cause problems. I wouldn't use it again, personally.

Thanks for the info... I will just keep with siphoning it out as I see it.
