Hey everyone, got gifted a tank and been taking care of this guy for about 6 months. Any ideas?

It looks more like a duncan coral. When it's closed does it look black?

No, if anything she stays green and gets a little white around where the polyps retract. I'll try and get a pic tonight or tomorrow. Only time I can recall dark is when I relocated the tank. Got real small and dark dark green. Thanks for the help

It doesn't look quite right for a Sun Coral, and unless you've been spot feeding it twice a week for the last 6 months it may well not be.

I spot feed 1-3 times a week. With that said I know it was neglected for months and not spot fed befor it came into my care. I've been looking at Duncan's and I can't make my mind up.

If it's white with some green when it's closed it's a duncan.

That's definitely not tubastera, duncanopsammia gets my vote as well.
