It just looks like your run of the mill Goniopora IMO. This color variation is actually pretty common around here.

I just bought one. They need to be target fed. Gentle flow. Medium light. From what ive read. So far so good with mine.

I definitely believe there's various kinds of goniopora that have different requirements.

Here's my ORA red goniopora that I just recently posted about in my journal thread.

I never target feed, it's directly under LEDs at 100% and a couple T5s, and a LOT of flow


I took a bunch of pictures other day of that red goniopora and my phone animated them. You can see it gets a lot of flow which is produced by a xf250 gyre on the complete opposite side of the tank.

I'd say there's been some growth

That was from Aug 13th! I just noticed the growth in just over a month there.

I agree about not having to feed some types of them. I have 7 different kinds and only see a feeding reaction from one of them.
