Ok so the are Paly but hey anyone have ideas on how to pop some pimples!? I took the rock out of my display tank and into this 40 gal tank . The idea I have is to turn the light off until the zits are gone. The room is dark and there is no fish or coral in the tank.
There was NO Paly on the glass 3 days ago! Now the pimples are everywhere! Boo!!! So any other suggestions on how I can rid myself of these nasty things!? The only other thing I plan to do is to buy more substrate and burry the rock for a couple of days. Gnarly tank! Right!?[emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji90]

Sad to say both of your ideas may not be enough to murder them. They are resilient. Id say take all off your rocks out and put'm on the driveway for a week. The wire brush your rocks.

You have Paly's showing up on your glass in days? Can you post a picture?

yep... I'm guessing aiptasia or mojano not paly's..

If they are paly's I hope the OP is aware of the dangers/toxins before popping those zits or they could end up in the hospital or worse... http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2515630

Burying the rock is a bad idea. The decayin organics and low oxygen environment will lead to sufate reducing bacteria with toxic hydrogen sufide as a by prodcut.

kill em with kalk paste Yea kalk paste is best. You can also kill aiptasia or any nuisance coral with it.You dont need to boil or cook the rock,or use chlorine or acid and stuff.
