met a guy selling $5 zoa plugs with just one head on it, I felt it was too much for just one..what should I more or less expect on a $5 plug?

depends what zoanthid it is , some you can spend $250 for 1 polyp just depends what type it is . And for $5 you have to keep in mind frag plugs and glue are not free .

$5 dollars is nothing in this hobby... Especially if you like the frag... Lower end stuff will go for 2-3 polyps for $5... Higher end the sky and your pocket book is the limit... It also is dictated by supply and demand... If you like it buy it if you don't pass it up... That's the best advice I can give you..

if i got my hallucination zoa for $5 i would have been over the moon. lol
honestly, i've bought cheap ones and expensive ones but $5 a polyp isn't bad.

Ok thanks, I was just looking at it as one tiny polyp how long will it take to grow out where it is worth looking at lol

that is another mystery. some seem to grow like weeds and some just seem to take forever. some of mine fill the frag plug before spreading out and some just stretch out as far as they can from the home colony.
bottom line, there is no one answer fits all with zoas/palys

I paid $30 a head for fruit loops last year as a Christmas present for my husband. What started as 3 polyps he has grown them out to at least 80 by now. Like everyone says - it depends on the colors [emoji7]
