I'm still in the process of getting all my equipment set up and have been doing a ton of research on sumps. When I moved into my new house there was a sump and pump left in the garage(which sparked my curiosity). Anyways, I got to thinking if I should just use this sump instead of making my own. However, I have looked at the sump and cannot understand its design.

Im trying to figure out if this sump will work for my 90 gallon tank. Every sump I've seen has at least 3 chambers, the one I have appears to only have 2. It is 22in in length, 18in in height and 13in wide. Is this sump a joke or can it be used? 359019359020359021359022

I would make my own.

You can't complain about something you built yourself, you can only kick yourself in the *** and make it better next time.

Also you get to design it the way you want.

Looks as if it was used for freshwater, large section would hold bio balls. It would be difficult to use as a sump for a reef. Not much room for a skimmer.

That makes complete sense now that I think about. Thanks!

I use a 40 breeder. I bought glass panels from the local glass shop and siliconed them where I wanted them. Works fine

You'll be hard pressed to fit a 40 breeder in the cabinet for a 90, they are both the same width and won't fit in the cabinet unless you do a custom cabinet as well.
