I used to catch those with my bare hands. I miss the days of unregulated fish collection.

Wow didn't think I would get replies thanks guys. He reminds me very much of the FW CA cichlids as far as personality. Right up to the front to feed when I see him. He will actually spot me from across my room and just pace back and forth until I come over then he waits under the spot I feed him and just looks at the surface. Fun fish to keep for sure.

He also eats like a black hole my gosh! He is like a swimming mouth.

Enjoy him, they are terrific fish!
There is nothing like a trigger, especially lagoon trigs.

You may want to consider feeding that fish more often. Seems a bit skinny.

Thanks all!

I wanted to ask a question. I am planning his permanent home that I want to build out of acrylic. I want it to be 72"x18"x12" because I do not like tall tanks. Are these dimensions ok? DO they really need height? Substrate will probably be minimal or non-existent.

Great looking fish... I simply LOVE Rhinecanthus triggers. They have so much personality and the patterns are amazing. To me, they look like they have been painted with a brush. Can't wait to get another one. Humaguy, have you sold off/removed all of your triggers now? And was that skeleton actually one of your live fish at one time? Did you use dermestid beetles to pick it clean?
